I'm not defending Klein, but it's important to say all scientists I've heard speak about this state that group statistics tell you nothing about the individual. It's important we don't make that jump and say that blacks as a group have a lower IQ and therefore that explains their failure . . . If you look at a horizontal group of individual scores, one group on top of the other, you see that large numbers of people in the lower scoring group are scoring higher than large numbers of people in the higher scoring group. Group scores tell you nothing about the individual. And that's something that conservatives, I would think, believe wholeheartedly. As for Sam's podcast with Murray, I do remember Sam, I believe at the end, asked Murray why do this research and publication thereof? What does the data add if it can't be used to judge individuals? And Murray's response was shockingly inadequate. He couldn't articulate a convincing argument. That's part of why some people might question his motives.

Ezra's position is not as poor as many of these commentators suggest. I think that it IS fair to wonder about the motives of those who wish to study subjects such as these , particularly in light of several centuries of racist brutality. It doesn't mean that Murray is 'racist ' , but it doesn't seem entirely coincidental that his observations lead him toward the (right wing) position that we should abandon redistributive socio-economic policies. Harris is the aggrieved party here and, as usual. defends himself well.

The original IQ tests were specifically created to check the educational progress of school children.Modern IQ tests measure a persons pror education background. So, of course, people with substandard education backgrounds will score low on IQ tests. To encourage children to go into colleges after schools is to create colleges promising work jobs as the college courses taught are done.. now this cannot be done unless you have complete data of work sectors how many work labor industries are there what new can be created to accomodate such huge number of population which is now skilled educated work labor ready, the is can only be done once you start head counts with new id' s and that streamlines population control also with birth deaths counting and monitored in data offices, that itself creates work volumes, second is complete inventory of all works out there, then comes which new ones can be created to absorb labor and population in colleges trained in those.. what now is mess chaos going into frustrations of public , so called snatching from each others, with strings pulled to land their circles work instead of creating neat order wherevery ody gets absorbed and who are not then supported with decent paychecks till they are and for those paychecks they can do volunteer work or given something to do for society.... Which is plenty to do out there..ut cuts across all existence angst desperations frustrations calming down all of insecurities but as of now your so called education system never even thought of these solutions now you know what kind of education systems are these elite or common normal ones instead young adults are burdened with skills and debts going nowhere. Women who judge other women on marriage or children : They are envious, jealous or old fashioned. They got nothing left to do in their lives. Tell them that. I know married people with kids who go to swinggers clubs and have a double life regretting having kids. That is the ugly reality. What the hell is wrong with American and some Canadian moms being so neglectful of their home, health hygiene? In Europe, most women wait before procreating or don't at all due to overpopulation, broken world climate changes etc. Having kids in such a world is selfish just because you wanted to procreate for your god or social media praises. I know moms who keep their home apartment, condos house clean always, their health a top priority and their kid understand that parents health are important the most because they care for me.Lazy people have trouble finding time. You got the time. If the president has time to attends all these meetings you got time to do your little stuff. Your kids should not come before your health or else you are too selfish and should have not brought them in a broken world knowing you were too busy or too disorganized to have kids. Grandmothers would never complain in the older days. They would get things done.

I think If you train in iq tests, you have better performance. The patterns are almost always the same. In raw you can cheat your iq. For me hard work is more important than base iq. Btw hi iq tends to’ work harder lol.

African American, were captured by other Africans and sold as slaves, they are not a race. they are a group of people of several races, captured by other blacks for profit, Obviously there is a Genetic component, I guess that the smarter captured the less smart, it is also obvious thar slaves must be resilient and strong. They were selected by the market to have particular valuable characteristics among the weaker. We know for example that pygmy were never enslaved, because they were not valuable. It is naive to think that the traumatic effect of the slave trade did not produce a genetic component among the African American population.

I look around and I see the society that "high-IQ" created (not just now but for the last 400 years) and I see a twisted, deviant thing that only became moreso the more it became attuned and evolved itself to ideas of "IQ supremacy" (much the same way a virus "evolves to kill more efficiently). Very few could comprehend the laws and documents that have financialized western economics. Very few could (or would) conceive of the multiple ways money has been shifted from the people and to a wealth hoarding elite (who now are presented by THIS society as the pinnacle of human ability, eg. Musk, bezos, et al). The argument that Murray and harris present is merely the "technological society" reinforcing itself.

You would hate being an affirmative action hire only because you are able to be successful (and have been) for meritorious reasons. If the only way to become wealthy and famous was to be an affirmative action hire, you might choose that. It's easy to deny you would like to be treated that way, but you cannot see the other side.

Seems to me that the analysis and understanding of the data is far from conclusive- so many factors are likely at play outside of and in addition to possible genetic factors. Perhaps the IQ questions themselves need to be developed by the lower scoring population members themselves to capture possible cultural biases , language biases , and environmental biases and maybe the scoring outcomes would be reversed. Intelligence itself can be very subjective as far as having common sense - theoretical intelligence- so called street intelligence- survival intelligence and on and on . Of course in western culture there must be radical pushback from both ends of the spectrum in the normal scientific discourse. The authors should not have expected otherwise without declaring dissenters to be liars . We don’t even know what consciousness is his can we pretend to understand what intelligence differences are . Afterall we all have roughly the same size brains the same number of neurons and neural networks - our sensory systems are mostly similar and we collect data from our universe at roughly the same rate - the main difference seems to be the data our personal experiences and environment feeds our sensory network that translates this into information for our neuronal network to process

I’m an old 5’9” Midwestern American male and have always considered myself to be of approximately average height. A few years ago I made my last trip to Disneyland. The considerable crowd there seemed to be made up mostly of people of Asian, Polynesian, and Hispanic ancestry, I came away from that visit with just one overwhelming impression that pretty much overshadowed the rest of the Disneyland experience. I am tall. I might have shrunk a bit with age. But I had never felt so tall. Though I haven’t been growing America is getting shorter. Height-wise I was out there Maybe close to 2 Sigma, on the right sight side of the bell shaped curve. If there was a Mensa or Mesa based on height at Disneyland I might be close to qualifying. The weather up here is actually a bit brisk. But now I’m back in the Midwest among mostly people of predominantly North European stock, and have regressed to something closer to my olde normal. I’m pretty sure that average height is not the only measurable difference among groups of people.

There are factors beyond IQ that also affect outcomes. Things like tenacity, ambition, curiosity, fear, greed, etc are also measurably different between different types of people.
